Born in Ireland, Eve Bunting ventured to California with her husband and three children a while back. Since the early seventies, she has written more than 250 books for children, generating a long list of awards including the Caldecott Medal for Smoky Night (1995) and the Arab American National Museum Award for One Green Apple (2006).
